On June 27th, 2025, The Day The Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie was finally released on the house that it was originally going to be released on, which was HBO Max. Was it worth it?

Yes. For being the very first fully-fledged 2D animated Looney Tunes movie, it was worth the wait.

Before I can review it, I wanna give a big and amazing thanks to the people at Ketchup Entertainment for giving this great movie a chance for it to be shown to the fans of Looney Tunes, animation, cartoons, and people who just want to have at least one more movie to just laugh and have fun. Hopefully with the release of Coyote vs. ACME, the people at Ketchup Entertainment can have another home run.

I would also wanna give a big and amazing thanks to the people over at Warner Bros. Animation for making this project and giving it so much love and creativity for it to come to life in the first place. Only you guys see your animated projects as a way to show expression, creativity, entertainment, and to tell amazing stories to people around the world instead of seeing them as just another product to make money. I would love for the people at Warner Bros. Animation to keep going strong, and to not let David Zaslav ruin anyone's livelihood over greed.

But anyways, The Day The Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie was a movie that many people, including me, were waiting on for so long. As far as the year 2021, where it was originally announced to be released on HBO Max and Cartoon Network, but was shelved instead due to the Warner Bros.-Discovery merge that took place months prior. The film was instead being shopped around to other streaming services and distributors. On June 11th, 2024, the movie premiered at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. It was also announced that Ketchup Entertainment acquired the distribution rights for the film to be released in North America. It was shown at another animation film festival in Los Angeles, and was revealed that the movie was set to release on February 28th, 2025. However, the movie's release date was delayed to March 14th, 2025 so that it can be eligible for the Academy Awards. The movie was released with positive reviews, and met box office projections, and made its money back with $15.1 million dollars on a $15 million budget. It was released on Blu-Ray and DVD on May 27th, 2025, released on streaming services on April 15th, 2025, and finally, on HBO Max on June 27th, 2025.

The movie stars Porky Pig and Daffy Duck, who are attempting to save the world from an alien invasion that was caused by chewing gum contaminated with alien goo. The movie starts with a scientist who caught both an asteroid and a hi-speed UFO heading for planet Earth. The scientist investigated the UFO, only to be captured. The movie went over Porky and Daffy's backstory, which was about the duo being raised by a farmer named Farmer Jim, who would take care of the boys all their life until one day, when he went away, but gave a promise for them to always stick together.

In present day, Porky realized that their house was going to be under inspection by the town, so he and Daffy did everything they could to make their house presentable. When the inspector came in, she mentioned that everything was perfect except the fact that their roof had a giant hole in it, as well as some weird goo, so she told the duo that they must repair their house or else their house was going to be condemned. Daffy and Porky decided to go work in multiple jobs only for them to fail in looney ways. Daffy even tried to become a social media influencer, but was cancelled instead. At a diner, the two met Petunia Pig, and Porky started to develop a crush on her. They had a conversation, and Petunia told them that she works at the gum factory for the purpose of trying to find a whole new flavor of gum while hating on the new gum that was about to have a worldwide launch. She had offered both Porky and Daffy an opportunity to work at the gum factory, which they accepted right away.

At the job, Porky and Daffy had very easy objectives. Porky pushes the button, and Daffy pulls the lever. Everything went well with no issues. Porky decided to meet with Petunia while Daffy decided to talk to other people, he saw that the scientist, who is now a zombie under alien control, was going somewhere, and followed him, and decided to put that weird goo into the giant bucket full of the gum supply, and Daffy told Porky about it, but he said that it was just him worrying too much, so he dismisses it. The new gum was launched worldwide, and as Daffy walked in the park, he saw that the people chewing on the gum turned into zombies, so he warned the public and messed up the launch party, and Daffy got arrested and fired, as well as Porky.

Porky bailed Daffy out of jail, and met up with Petunia. Daffy told her if she could sample the tainted gum, where the three characters discovered that an alien invader was the one behind it. The Invader turned the gum into a monster to thwart the plans of the three, but had eliminated it. They would make an idea to make a rotten egg extract so that the people can spit the gum out, and burn it. Porky told Daffy to stay behind so that he won't get in the way, telling him to lay eggs instead. Porky and Petunia were doing very well with this plan until Daffy showed up, and got a little too Looney, and destroyed their weapons on accident, they were surrounded, and the three decided to make a run for it. Unfortunately, Petunia was captured by the zombies, and Porky and Daffy were abducted into the ship and were confined. Their home was destroyed in the process. The Invader had full control of Earth and was ready for his next plan, which was to make the infected humans blow bubbles to make one giant bubble that covers the whole planet. Porky and Daffy broke out, freed Petunia and the scientist, and popped the bubble.

But, it turned out that The Invader was protecting the Earth the whole time from the previously mentioned asteroid, which was heading for the planet in close proximity. The idea was that the big bubble that surrounded the planet would have bounced the asteroid back. This was because The Invader was protecting a valuable resource that was only on Earth, which was boba tea of all things! Earlier, Petunia made up an exploding gum, so the three of them, along with the help of the scientist and The Invader, went into the asteroid to discover the weak spot. Porky and Petunia would put the large amount of exploding gum and the wind-up teeth. However, the wind-up teeth had tipped over. As a last resort, Porky told Daffy to go Looney, where his antics caused the crystals from above to fall into the gum, The three made a run for it, but Daffy got stuck, and Porky went back to him, while Petunia got back into the spaceship. The asteroid would explode, and Daffy and Porky were assumed to die in the explosion.

Everyone on Earth was celebrating, but then, something was coming down on Earth, it turned out to be Porky and Daffy, who actually survived the explosion, and crash-landed on Earth while stuck on the crystal they were stuck to. Petunia was very happy that they survived, she kissed Porky, and actually discovered the ingredient to the new flavor of gum she wanted to make. Porky and Daffy went to their destroyed home, and all they had was a family portrait that Porky saved earlier. But it turned out that behind that portrait, there was a home insurance contract of $5 million dollars, which they used to rebuild the house into a full mansion. The home inspector had her head explode in defeat.

At the very end of the movie, Porky does his usual sign-off of saying, "That's all, folks!" But Daffy came in, and said that the film should be open... for a sequel...

So... was this movie worth the wait? Saying yes is actually an understatement. It's one of the best animated movies that I've ever seen, and it was very much worth the wait. This movie had so much humor, I find the Porky and Petunia scenes to be so cute! And finding boba tea as something valuable is something unexpected... The scene where Porky and Daffy fail at their jobs and Daffy becoming a social media influencer and fails at it was very funny! The music soundtrack and score was amazing, The animation was basic, yet phenomenal on how it was all in 2D, and it is probably, in my opinion, an instant classic! And the fact that there may be a sequel to this is just insane!

overall, I give it a 10/10. It was an animated movie involving such iconic characters that was done very well. If you have a chance, you must watch this movie, it was so worth the wait! Go support 2D animation, and show them you still care!

Big thanks again for Ketchup Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation for making this movie possible, it was such an honor to watch a movie that was finally given the chance it fully deserves. I hope that Coyote vs. ACME can be another great movie.

and that's all, folks!

well, it's all over for now. I've completed the last of my regents that I needed to do. All I gotta say is that 10th grade was a good time of my life. I did my absolute best, got rewarded, I made a school project and it ended up in a book for the Student Press Initiative at Teachers College, Columbia University, and had a good time with my friends overall.

Also, I hate doing presentations in front of the whole class, man... having for the teacher to call up your name, walking nervously to the smart board, and trying your absolute best without trying to screw up is so not fun for an autistic like me... Now, don't get me wrong, I try my absolute best to be as well as I can be, but I get so nervous, and I have this fear of messing up and being very embarrassed about it... it makes me wanna run from the class ASAP... I start to sweat a lot when it happens, my heart starts to beat so much... but I still managed to do well... everybody in the class and my teachers do say that I put so much effort in my presentations and the slides... and while I'm so glad that they're saying all of this, I'm just so relieved that it's over, and I don't have to present again... I want to be a student who is professional, but having all of this nervousness doesn't make me feel this way, and I don't know if it's my autism, or something else... but I'm so glad that I got praise and rewards for it. they told me that I'm so intelligent and brave for presenting, maybe I really am, and I just don't know it...

But finally, after all this hard work, I can finally catch a break... a long summer break... and when school comes again, I'll be sure that I'll be ready for 11th Grade...

and that's pretty much all there is to say... to be honest, it's so crazy to see how time flies, but I hope it will be for something bigger and better for me...

I'm very sad to announce that today, we lost a musician, a singer, a songwriter, and a record producer. Brian Wilson, the very Pop genius that revolutionized music forever as well as a co-founder of The Beach Boys, died at the age of 82 today on June 11th, 2025. He was 82 years old.

Now, I was listening to The Beach Boys earlier today, and as I was coming back home, I was scrolling on YouTube, and there, I found out that Brian Wilson was dead. I was like, "no! not him, too!" and I cried for a few minutes... seeing how one of my favorite musicians dies all of a sudden is so saddening to hear...

Pet Sounds is one of my favorite albums ever made, and everybody should listen to it. It changed the music industry when it first came out in 1966. It was so influential, The Beatles took it as inspiration to make Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, which, along with Pet Sounds, became one of the best albums ever made. There were many other great albums from The Beach Boys like Smiley Smile, Wild Honey, Friends, 20/20, Sunflower, and of course, the legendary SMiLE album, which is the most greatest album to never release.

Many people call Brian Wilson a Pop Genius. which I think is true. He will go down in history as one of the greatest musicians to ever exist.

Rest in peace, Brian Wilson. you really were a musical genius. (June 20th, 1942-June 11th, 2025)

and that's pretty much all there is to say. I hope Brian can fly high with his brothers and the rest of the greats of music.

also, screw Mike Love.

So, I'm pretty sure y'all have heard of that new Hatsune Miku song that is out now. The name of the song is called Static by FLAVOR FOLEY. What do I think of it? The music video is so amazing! Although, I do have to mention, if you have epilepsy, or are sensitive to any bright lights and/or visuals, it's best not to see the music video. as it contains flashing lights and such.

The music video for the song is amazing! it was so cute seeing Miku in such a cartoonish style! almost nostalgic even! I'll admit, when the "disturbing things" were happening, I was caught off-guard, I was like, hey! where did all the colors go? The beginning caught me off-guard too! When I clicked on the music video to hear it for the first time, I was thrown off by that dead stare... into my soul... menacingly! The VHS filters were getting warped, I was expecting a jumpscare, and I thought, this must be some sort of horror song...

And then, it changes into a very cute, cartoonish Miku was moving her body in a cute way! With cute lyrics reminding us to tap our feet, to sing along, what's happening on the TV, and reminding us how this should be. She also reminds us on how the world is a frightful place to be in, but also says to not be scared because she's not going anywhere. She wants you to not touch that dial, and to stay with her for a while. She romanticizes the past, and said that this is how it should be, in studio seats, her ego, wired in the CRT. She suggests skipping the sign-off, and to repeat the sameness.

She would remind us that we should sing with her, as it's a catchy melody, and that it's sweet when we sing along with her. She would remind us that we should check the script, as to not mess up, and to keep the harmony in key. So that it can be the way it ought to be. She would remind us that it's another day in keeping with our company, and that she didn't care what people say, saying that "we'll stay another day in revelry, reverie! Always stay together, fair and stormy weather, never growing older, never growing colder, always be together, now and for forever..." From there, the 4:3 would change to a 16:9 for a few seconds before changing back to a 4:3... i thought it was very cool but creepy at the same time!

She would also keep asking these questions, like, "what's the nicest thing you see?" or, "who's the brightest star you see?" and the answer to these questions would always be the same, which she says, "it's me!" She said that the world that we know never seems to take it slow and how it's at a tiring pace, and reassures us to not delay, and that she'll be here to save the day... and the chorus would repeat. The VHS filter would get warped a lot more during the chorus this time.

Then, she reminds us that when we go, we shouldn't change the channel, and hopes that we won't be long, and reminds us that all she wants is for her to be wanted, which, in that moment, I kinda feel rather empathetic... and then, the chorus repeats itself for a final time with the VHS filter being warped and distorted. And in the end, she told us a final remark, she said that this is how it should be. And then the song ends.

Now, before trying to give the meaning of the song in my own words, the song is really great! The visuals are great, the song is catchy, it's creative, the colors are used in a great way, and Miku looks so adorable in a cartoony style! I give it a 10/10 and I think it deserves more exposure like how Mesmerizer, featuring Miku and Teto, by 32ki received when it was first released back in April of 2024! Now, from what I understand, in this song, Miku is a very insecure person who is just looking for a way to be happy like how she is back in the past, which would explain the old CRT TV, the visuals, the romanticization of the past, the fear of being alone, the self-compliments, the idea of not growing older, and most importantly, the desire for everything to be the same. And from all of this, this shows that in this song, Miku is a rather insecure person who is just wanting to be happy like in the past, and I think it makes total sense in some cases. Some people wanna escape from the world by living in the past where it's more comforting, easier, and simpler. Not saying that I'm one of those people, as I gotta look forward to focusing on my future, but it's completely understandable. In my own opinion, it's okay to go back in the past and such, just don't overdo it.

And that's pretty much all there is to say... I think Static was such an amazing song, everything about it was done in such a unique and clever way, thus adding to its greatness as a song! FLAVOR FOLEY did such an amazing job to this song!

and remember, I'm not a music critic like Fantano, so if you disagree, that's fine! I'm just telling you guys on the Internet what I love and what I listen!

By the way, are you still watching?

here's the song if you wanna listen!

this is the audio only version, if you're not comfortable with bright flashing lights, you can click this link to just listen to the song without the visuals.

The Velvet Underground. It's an amazing band that is one of my favorites. They were very influential and so ahead of their time. Their debut album is amazing, White Light/White Heat is pretty raw, but ahead of its time, as the sound of the album would be implemented in later records. haven't listened to their 3rd album yet, but I'm gonna give it a listen later. But their 4th album, Loaded, was amazing!

Released on November 15, 1970 under Atlantic Records, who were a division of Kinney Record Group International back when Kinney National took over the Warner Bros. and it's operations, Loaded was an attempt for The Velvet Underground to get into Pop music that were radio hits, as Atlantic told them that they must make an album that was "loaded with hits", Which is where the album got its name from. And although they were very well known for their avant-garde music, Loaded was an exception, as it was mostly a Pop/Rock album. but even then, they really knew how to make an album of such a genre! The songs were great, like "Who Loves the Sun", "Sweet Jane", "Rock & Roll", "New Age", "I Found a Reason", and "Oh! Sweet Nuthin'".

Overall, I give the album a 10/10. it's one of my favorite albums of all time. The best way to listen to this album is the "full length versions" if you want the best version. Personally, I prefer the mono version, as it's the original way it's supposed to be listened to, as well as the fact that The Velvet Underground is better in Mono rather than Stereo as it feels more natural in my opinion.

and remember, I'm not a music critic like Fantano, so if you disagree, that's fine! I'm just telling you guys on the Internet what I love and what I listen!

well, all I did on the weekend was not being at home and having time to myself. rather, I spent my time at my cousin's house for mother's day weekend, (happy mother's day, y'all!) and it was alright, we ate good food, watched some TV, and I listened to my music.

and that's pretty much all there is to say... I hope y'all get to have a good mother's day this weekend, as for me, it was good.

so we all know that Grand Theft Auto VI is the game that's gonna break many game records. and I'm so excited for GTA 6! I remember when Trailer 1 dropped, I was like, NO WAY IT'S REAL! I told my younger bro, yo come watch it with me now! so, we watched the trailer, and it was so worth it! then it said, 2025. and we were like, no way! so we waited for the years to go on. and at New Year's Day, 2025, I was like, I'm finally gonna play GTA 6! and I was hoping for Trailer 2 to drop, but then, Rockstar Games announced that GTA 6 was gonna be delayed for May 26th, 2026. and I was like, oh, no! why? I knew that is was gonna happen, but for next year? dude, I'm gonna be able to buy the game on my own at this point! as it's an rated M game, and I'm gonna turn 17 years old next year! but then, Rockstar blessed us with Trailer 2! i went home from school, and my lil bro was like, have you heard the news? i was like, what news? and then, he's like, stay here, i got something to show you... and he went to YouTube and played the trailer and told me to come here. when i saw the Rockstar Games logo, I was like no way, oh, my god... and I saw the trailer... and it was the best trailer I've seen! and to be honest, Rockstar is in the right to delay the game. I cannot wait for May 26th, 2026! it's gonna be a day long remembered in the Video Game Industry.

and that's pretty much all there is to say. to be honest, 2026 is gonna be the best year for events and the media. so many things are set to release in 2026 like Shrek 5, GTA 6, World Cup 2026, Coyote vs. ACME, and so much more is set to happen in 2026, and I cannot wait!

this is my first blog post, I guess, so if possible, I'll probably most some more... and that's pretty much all there is to say...
